Internship with Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI)
The Washington DC office of Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) is currently seeking applicants for spring semester unpaid internships.
Interns will have an opportunity to get hands-on experience in a very fast paced office, working with legislative, press and constituent services staff. Two types of internships are offered – legislative and press. Legislative interns' responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting staff with legislative research and writing, attending briefings and committee hearings. The press intern is responsible for clipping news articles and videos, drafting press releases and media advisories, and research.
Candidates should have interest in the legislative process and/or communication, be motivated, organized, reliable, and possess strong writing and communication skills. Michigan ties are a plus but not required.
