Intern for a Day connects undergraduate students with alumni, parents, employers and community partners for one day internship/shadowing experiences. During your visit, you may accompany your host to meetings, participate in informational interviews with other staff members or work on small projects. We hope this short-term experience will help you clarify your career interests and explore the world of work. In spring 2015, we matched 350+ students with an Intern for a Day host. A wide variety of career fields and industries are represented in the Intern for a Day program.
In order to be considered for Intern for a Day, you must attend a short, 30-minute orientation session which covers the application process, workplace etiquette, appropriate dress, professional correspondence and more. There are 6 orientations available to attend during the week of September 21-25, 2015. Please click on the date and time of the orientation session that works best with your schedule to RSVP. All orientations take place in the University Career Center & The President's Promise (3100 Hornbake Library, South Wing). Fall 2015 Intern for a Day Orientation Options:
