Due to the surprising and, for some, alarming nature of the presidential election, the Government and Politics department is offering to host a panel discussion to help students better understand what happened in the electorate, what we expect to happen in the government going forward (both in terms of foreign and domestic policy, and in terms of the limits and powers of a unified Congress), and a comparative perspective on what we can learn from other countries.
Faculty participants will include:
Irwin Morris and David Karol (American political institutions and history)
Antoine Banks, Lilliana Mason, and Stella Rouse (American political behavior)
Vladimir Tismaneanu and Karol Soltan (international and comparative perspective)
The discussion will take place on Tuesday, December 6, at 4pm, in Tydings 1136.
