Internship at the Export-Import Bank

AGENCY DESCRIPTION
The Export-Import Bank of the United States (“EXIM”) is the official export credit agency of the United States. EXIM's mission is to assist in financing the export of U.S. goods and services to international markets. EXIM enables U.S. companies, large and small, to turn export opportunities into real sales that help to maintain and create U.S. jobs and contribute to a stronger national economy.

JOB DESCRIPTION 
EXIM’s Office of Policy Analysis and International Relations (OPAIR) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic student intern for the Spring 2018 semester. This unpaid internship offers an opportunity for students to learn about export finance, both in the United States and abroad. The internship will be conducted in OPAIR’s International Relations Division and focuses on the activities of foreign export credit agencies of OECD member countries.

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Providing statistical support for EXIM’s annual Competitiveness Report to Congress and other reporting efforts. Advanced Excel skills are highly preferred.
  • Conducting open-source research of foreign export finance programs and activity to inform international negotiations on export credits
  • Presenting research findings to OPAIR staff and other senior leaders
Interns are also invited to participate in meetings with other EXIM Bank divisions, other federal agencies, and EXIM’s global counterparts. Students should be currently enrolled.
