Summer Internship with Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger in his District Office

Interns will be tasked with a variety of things, including day-to-day office work such as answering phones, writing letters and assisting with media clips. In addition, interns may be assigned to assist in various constituent case work or work on District-based projects of importance.

Our office provides hands-on training in government casework, which gives interns the opportunity to learn how federal agencies function and the role they play in society. Interns have the opportunity to shadow staff meetings and attend a variety of events, such as community association events and Eagle Scout ceremonies. Our internship program helps to better prepare students for their academic and professional careers.

We are actively looking for an intern to be hired permanently based on their performance.

The internship and potential job is open to any major, but ideally, the student would be of a political science, economics, and/or international studies background. Potential candidates can send a cover letter, updated resume, and a writing sample to diego.marin@mail.house.gov.
