Interns are considered an integral part of the team and will have the opportunity to gain experience working on Capitol Hill, learning firsthand about the workings of a Congressional office. Virginia ties preferred, but not required.

Learning Objectives
Interns will receive an overall perspective of Congress, the legislative process and the importance of constituent services through the completion of tasks assigned. Interns will further hone oral and written communication skills in order to respond to constituent correspondence.

- Communication Skills: Listening ability, concentration ability, writing proficiency, verbal proficiency, and ability to work with others

Requirements
Qualified candidates will possess exceptional writing and communication skills, strong attention to detail, an interest in the legislative process and commitment to public service and leadership. Commitment to a semester long, 25-40 hour per week internship is also required.
