To learn more about the U.S. State Department Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) summer 2021 programs and about preparing a strong application by the Nov. 17 deadline, please fill out this brief survey. We will also enroll you in our CLS resource page on ELMS.
*At this time, the CLS program intends for in-person instruction in the host countries. If the Department of State determines later that this will not be possible due to COVID-19, CLS will offer virtual instruction at full capacity.
Application Deadline: November 17, 2020
ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION: Applicants must be: US Citizens; currently enrolled freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate students. A GPA of 3.2 or higher recommended; all majors are eligible.
PLEASE NOTE: CLS programs in Arabic, Chinese and Japanese require two years of previous study by the start of the program. Korean, Portuguese, and Russian require one year of study by the start of the program. For details see: http://www.clscholarship.
