The Simon Wiesenthal Center Government Advocacy Internship, entering its 7th year, has now trained over 100 college age students on how to become effective advocates and activists on the critical issues that our community is facing. Wiesenthal Government Advocacy Interns will receive hands-on experience through internship placements in the offices of local & state legislators, participate in weekly workshops with elected officials, top lobbyists, coalition builders, and will be partnered with mentors who shape front-line policy decisions.
The program provides a $1,500 stipend and many program participants are able to get college credits as well.
To apply students can complete the application at this link by March 15, 2022.
The program has grown so much that they are now launching an alumni association bringing together the network of program graduates from each of the first six cohorts!
