The overarching goals of the PS-PSI are to increase the diversity of applicants to political science PhD programs; to boost the acceptance rate of under-represented students thus enhancing the diversity of students in those programs; and to augment inclusion and equity in the discipline. The PS-PSI will include substantive elements (e.g., introducing the content and methods of political science) and practical elements (e.g., assisting participants to prepare strong applications for graduate programs); participants will also share their ideas about research directions. The PS-PSI will involve significant mentoring by, and networking with, current faculty and PhD students from Georgetown.
You can learn more on the PS-PSI’s webpage, where you can also find a link to the application form. Interested students should also feel free to contact us at pssummerinst@georgetown.edu.
