BORDERS, which was created by the MAIR 4+1 program, aims to provide a platform for students to showcase their research. As fellow political science graduates, we understand the challenges of finding publication outlets, especially for undergraduates. We believe this journal can be a valuable resource for students to display their work, particularly those applying to graduate school.
For more information about BORDERS, please visit the website: https://gvpt.umd.edu/To submit your work, please use the following link: https://forms.gle/
All submissions are due Friday, May 31, 2024.
BORDERS is looking for papers that demonstrate strong motivation, novelty, and creativity in the fields of International Relations (IR), Comparative Politics, or foreign policy. A successful submission should present relatively novel ideas that enhance understanding in these fields, supported by existing literature and methodologies (Qualitative and/or Quantitative). Submissions should include a clear theory, arguments, and evidence-based analysis. Additionally, we expect all submissions to adhere to basic writing conventions, including spelling, grammar, and organization. While there is no specific page minimum or maximum, the most successful publications generally fall between 7 and 30 pages in length.
We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to publish your work and contribute to the existing scholarship. We look forward to reviewing your submissions!
Please let us know if you have any questions at borders@umd.edu.
