Enthusiastic applicants
desired for competitive internship with Steny Hoyer’s AMERIPAC. An interest in politics and fundraising is
essential. Applicants must have
excellent organizational skills, including strong attention to detail; ability
to work with minimal supervision; have a sense of humor, and be capable of
writing clearly, concisely, and on deadline.
A high comfort level with social media, online research, Google docs,
and Excel databases is needed.
Familiarity with NGP and VAN software is preferred.
Job Description:
- Monitor news and social media for targeted races
- Update/maintain database of key races and track contacts, news and background on these campaigns
- Assist in updating fundraising database by researching donors
- Assist in preparing briefing material for extremely active political schedule
- Assist in office administration and compliance
- Other duties as assigned.
Flexible start date, but
applicants should be able to devote a minimum of 25 hours a week to this
internship. Ability to bring your own
laptop is desirable but not required.
