This Internship Program provides the opportunity for American graduates to learn first-hand about German politics by working in the office of a member of the German Parliament (Deutscher Bundestag). The program runs from March 1st to July 31st, 2017. During this time participants are enrolled as students at the Humboldt-UniversitÀt zu Berlin. The application deadline is June 30, 2016.
This gives well qualified young people with a strong interest in politics from the USA, France, Israel and Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe and Arab region the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of Germany's system of parliamentary government.
- US citizenship
- University degree (BA, BS, Diploma, Magister, state examination or doctoral); a college degree is not enough, the proof of graduation may be provided later in certain circumstances up to 31 December 2016
- Very good knowledge of German
- Knowledge of German politics, society and history
