POTENTIAL INTERNSHIP ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:
- Reviewing, editing, analyzing, and researching different legislative initiatives impacting clients.
- Assisting with event planning including A&C firm events and client events including committee dinners and advocacy days held throughout session.
- Assisting with marketing and public relations for the firm – social media, op-eds, newsletters, etc.
- Coordinating and signing up panels for bill testimony and submitting written testimony.
- Listening and providing information on various hearings throughout the legislative session.
- Assisting with in office administrative work, when needed.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Flexible schedule.
- Remain nonpartisan with clients and elected officials.
- Junior or senior in college.
- Interest in government and politics and/or government and community relations.
- All majors welcome. The firm understands the ever changing nature of college courses and schedules. Ideally the right candidate will be able to work in the Annapolis office 3-4 days a week from 9 AM to 5 PM. The firm is willing to work around independent schedules and coordinate a flexible schedule with the right candidate.
