Participate in a 15-20 minute survey measuring attitudes regarding police, Black Lives Matter, and social media usage.
This survey is part of a study conducted by Elizabeth Pokress, an undergraduate student completing the requirements of an undergraduate thesis for the honors program in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice. This research attempts to understand attitudes towards police and the Black Lives Matter movement in the wake of the protests in support of Black Lives Matter this summer.
If you choose to participate in this survey, you may opt into a lottery for five $10 cash rewards. Additionally, you may opt in to be selected for an experiment that will also include compensation.
All UMD undergraduates who are at least 18 years old are eligible to participate. If you are an employee or student, your employment status or academic standing at UMD will not be positively or negatively affected by your participation or non-participation in this study.
Thank you for considering participating in this important study. If you have any questions, please contact Elizabeth Pokress at epokress@terpmail.umd.edu o r her faculty advisor, Bianca Bersani, at bbersani@umd.edu.
