Internship
Opportunity:
Dutch Ruppersberger for Congress is actively searching for
College students interested in serving as an intern in his Campaign Office for
the Fall of 2012.
An internship in the Campaign Office offers students a
unique opportunity to be a part of the political process during an exciting election
year. Interns will have the opportunity to gain experience in field operations,
event planning, videography, and public relations. Interns will play a vital role in the brainstorming, design,
development and implementation of a host of different projects.
Intern responsibilities will include tasks such as research,
maintaining social media sites, data management, assistance in organizing and
staffing events, videoing, monitoring media coverage and general administrative
assistance.
Applicants should possess strong communication skills, writing and research ability, experience with social media, a willingness to work in a team environment, and an interest in politics. Interns also need proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience in campaigning or other political efforts is a plus but is not required.
Interested candidates should send a cover letter and resume.
