The Council on the Environment has established an annual Environmental Lecture Series. The inaugural speaker is Lester Brown, founder and president of the Earth Policy Institute. Additionally he is a UMD alum and a member of the University of Maryland Alumni Hall of Fame.
The event will be Monday November 12, 2012, beginning with a reception at 4PM in the CSIC atrium that will be open to all.
Dr. Brown's seminar will begin at 5:00PM in CSIC Lecture Room 115 with introductory remarks from Senator Joseph Tydings and Prof. Herman Daly.
