Internship Opportunity of the Week
Governor Martin O’Malley’s Office of Intergovernmental Affairs
“My experience with the Maryland Internship Program was one of the most exciting and valuable of my college career. I had the opportunity to work in Governor O'Malley's Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, which serves as a liaison between the state and local governments. The opportunity to get right into the legislative process, and to see how policies affected not only the state, but each county and municipality in Maryland, was incredibly valuable. I would absolutely recommend this program to anyone with an interest in state government.” - Former Maryland Internship Program participant
The Center for American Politics and Citizenship and the Department of Government and Politics offer three exciting internship programs to help University of Maryland undergraduates gain real-world experience in government and public policy, coupled with classroom training: Maryland Internship Program (MIP), Capitol Hill Internship Program (CHIP), and Public Policy Internship Program (PPIP). You will have the opportunity to intern in federal, state and local government offices and agencies for a semester, earning course credit and valuable experience.
Applications are currently being accepted for the Maryland Internship Program’s Summer 2013 Session (deadline April 8, 2013).
Applications for the fall semester for all three programs will be accepted on a rolling basis.
