Marc Norman currently works for the U.S. Department of State as the Director for Africa, Europe and the Americas in the Bureau of Counterterrorism, where he is responsible for development and direction of U.S. Government counterterrorism policy and programs for countries in the those regions. Mr. Norman entered the Foreign Service in 1984 and converted to the Civil Service in 2005. Overseas, he has served as a consular officer in London, and as a political officer in Belfast, Kingston and Warsaw. While in Warsaw, he worked as a labor attaché and officer in charge of Holocaust Restitution Issues. In Washington, Mr. Norman has served as a desk officer on a variety of country desks, including the Congo, Equatorial Guinea and Slovenia. Mr. Norman holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University, and did his graduate work in History and Public Policy at George Washington University.
