POSITION TYPE: Internship (Fall or Spring Part-Time)
We
are looking for an enthusiastic college student who would like to get
experience working in the fast-paced world of online politics.
This summer, we’re looking for interns who can commit on a full time
basis.
Job Description:
You
will work on interesting projects for congressional and campaign
clients side by side with a member of our team. The intern’s job will
include:
• Research: Find articles about current news and issues in client’s
districts that will be included in our newsletter. Look
up relevant items that can be included on websites, sales presentations,
and other materials.
• Writing: Write content for internal newsletter. Proofread and fact-check client emails and websites.
•
Analysis: Put together reports summarizing metrics from both emails and
websites. Examine trends from the data and make recommendations.
• Updates: Load articles onto client websites through a content management system.
• Social Media: Manage the social media profile of campaign clients.
These
responsibilities will yield results visible to the client. We are
looking for someone who can take on responsibility and help our
clients achieve their goals.
Requirements:
• Desire to work in an exciting, fast-paced, and progressive political internet consulting firm.
• First-rate computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint and Excel.
• Excellent Internet research skills – ability to use search engines,
blogs, and news sites to find relevant information.
• Understanding of online technology and concepts – coursework in
computer science or political science a strong plus.
• Analytical and problem solving skills are necessary including a strong attention to detail.
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Knowledge of HTML or additional web technologies is a strong plus.
