The ICONS Project is looking for an intern this coming Spring 2014 semester. The intern will work with the ICONS staff and will have the chance to learn about how ICONS works with its many clients (i.e.: universities, government agencies, and private companies).
Tasks for the intern will include, but are not limited to:
- Researching countries in order to maintain the ICONS "Research Library"
- Assisting with simulation research and development
- Researching grant opportunities and other funding opportunities
- Participating in ICONS' pilot simulations (as needed)
Qualifications:
- Student in the International Development and Conflict Management minor OR Government and Politics major
- Sophomore, junior, senior student
- excellent research, writing, and editing skills
- Good academic standing
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- Previous coursework and/or interest in international affairs
- Available 11-15 hours per week
Desired Skills:
- International travel/experience is a plus
- Prior ICONS simulations experience is a plus
- Good team player and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience with Adobe Photoshop, iMovie and/or other software is a plus
- Demonstrated grant-writing and/or proposal writing experience through volunteering and/or internship experience is a plus
