Start Date: Our internships will be phased in to meet the
needs of students. All resumes are being
taken immediately. We will begin with
students who wish to start during their Spring 2014 Semester. The second phase will be openings for
students who have finished their Spring 2014 Semester and would like a
summer-long internship. All internships
will be available for continuance throughout the entire Hogan for Governor
Campaign.
Responsibilities:
Opportunities will vary and be as broad as our statewide campaign.
All will involve direct hands-on experience and direct
contact with Gubernatorial Candidate Larry Hogan as well as all staff members.
Interns are expected to work side-by-side with staff
knowing campaign hours grow longer as the campaign progresses. Students currently enrolled in Spring 2014
classes will have class schedules taken into consideration.
Our headquarters is located in Annapolis, however, some
statewide travel will be expected.
Students will have opportunities in a wide range of
campaign areas and be working directly with staff members who have had years of
experience in many state and national campaigns. Opportunities include:

Field staff:
Campaign related activities outside the campaign headquarters
(statewide) ranging from staffing rallies and fundraising events to organizing
training and material delivery.
·
Headquarters staff: Research, phone bank
organization, office duties and event planning.
·
Communications staff: Participation in
messaging, new media, email communication and working at outside events on a
statewide basis.
Requirements:
Desire to work on a statewide multi-million dollar
gubernatorial campaign.
Good work ethic and desire to learn.
Student must provide their own transportation and be
available for in-state travel.
Laptop computer or tablet
The intern program is unpaid with potential of
full/part-time employment.
