PUAF 388G "Seminar on Global Perspectives on Leading and Investing in Social Change"
PUAF 388G Seminar on
Global Perspectives on Leading and Investing in Social Change will be offered
this spring on Thursdays from 11:00am to 1:30pm. In addition to learning about
global social change in a fun and engaging way, you will also have the chance
to make a real impact. How do you tackle the world’s most pressing issues? From poverty, climate
change, gender equity, human trafficking, refugee and humanitarian emergencies,
and public health crises, you will learn how nongovernmental organizations
(NGOs) and philanthropy are working across borders and in the most desperate
circumstances to alleviate suffering and solve problems. By the end of this
class you will be able to create a better world by actually investing thousands
of dollars in a real nonprofit organization! What other class gives you the
power to make a change in the world?
