TODAY, December 10th,
will be the competition that we have all been anticipating: Maryland’s 2nd
annual Scholarship Day! Help your fellow Terps make history for UMD & a
transformative difference in the lives of our scholarship recipients.
$5 won’t go
very far in College Park but it CAN help your classmates and friends receive
the scholarship that will allow them to stay at Maryland and afford the
education they’re pursuing. Each year, more than $80 million in financial aid
requests go unfunded – let’s help!
Donors can choose from
multiple scholarship options! The college or school with the most donors and
participants in 24 hours will receive matching funds! Last year, The College of
Behavioral and Social Sciences, with 10 outstanding academic departments, was
at the top of the Scholarship Day leaderboard and received an additional $2,500
in matching funds thanks to all of YOUR participation.

Terps! MIDNIGHT – 1AM is when our students can make the
greatest impact & help BSOS bring in matching funds…but winning one
challenge is just the start. We’re asking our students to support our all-out,
24-hour effort to get more BSOS students to participate throughout the day than
ANY other college or school!
Stop by the table in
Tydings Hall, on the ground floor by the Tydings courtyard, to grab a sticker
and help spread the word.
How else can YOU help
raise scholarship money this year? Social Media!
Follow the action through
BSOS’s social media platforms. Post, share or retweet BSOS Facebook and Twitter
messages and leaderboard updates throughout the day! Keep your eyes peeled for
raffles that donors will qualify for!
