- Finance Assistant - Work with candidate and finance manager during call times to document and conduct follow-up to pledges and contacts
- Outreach Assistant - Work with Head of Campaign to solicit new volunteers, distribute candidate literature and manage volunteer time-slots / assignments
- Social Media Assistant - Work with Candidate to manage social media platforms, including IG, FB and Twitter
- Data Manager - Work with outreach coordinator to locate donor contact information and transfer files into database
These positions are unpaid and require a commitment of 4-6 hours per week. As a reminder, internships with political campaigns are not eligible to receive GVPT credit, but these opportunities still provide valuable experience in the field.

Shelia Bryant is an attorney and activist in the area of Criminal Justice Reform. Growing up in rural Mississippi and in the ghettos of Los Angeles, she overcame poverty and racism to become one of a handful of African American women to achieve the rank of Colonel( O-6) in the United States Marine Corps Reserve.
As an attorney, Ms. Bryant practiced in civil, criminal and family law in Oceanside, CA before accepting a civil service position for the U.S. Navy and relocating to Upper Marlboro Maryland. Her most recent civil service assignment was Inspector General for Naval Forces Europe and Africa while stationed in Naples, Italy.
