Teach for America is looking for undergraduate students to apply for its Ignite fellowship program. Ignite is a paid, part-time tutoring fellowship where student leaders receive mentorship from veteran educators to help students accelerate their learning and create a strong sense of belonging.
Ignite Fellows will lead virtual math or reading tutoring sessions with three students in learning groups during school hours, as well as connect with students and enhance their learning through personalized teaching practices. Fellows are expected to work five hours a week for a 13 week period during the school year.
Fellows will receive a $1,200 stipend per semester as they learn and develop practical, transferable leadership skills that can be used in the classroom or any professional setting. Students can apply at https://tfaignite.smapply.io/. Applications for the Spring 2023 semester, which is from January 30th - April 28th, will open in mid-September.
