Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) Internship Opportunities

REMOTE CIVIL LIBERTIES OPPORTUNITY FOR SPRING SEMESTER

The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) offers a semester-long, remote, paid program for students passionate about protecting and uplifting civil liberties. Through the FIRE Campus Scholar Program, students create, draft, and complete a personal project congruent with FIRE’s mission - funded with a FIRE grant - over one semester. This experience is remote. The 2023 spring semester program will begin with an in-person training weekend from January 27-28 and run remotely until May 5, 2023. Campus Scholars will receive a stipend of $1,500 upon completion of the program and their project in May.

CIVIL LIBERTIES SUMMER INTERNSHIP

The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) offers a 10-week, summer program for students interested in helping FIRE defend the First Amendment across the U.S. Interns will work at FIRE’s downtown Philadelphia office. The 2023 program will run from May 30–August 4 and interns will receive a stipend of $5,250. Ideal candidates have a passion for civil liberties and have a history of taking action in support of causes they believe in.
