Top 3 ethical summer volunteering opportunities
Volunteering makes you feel great and will spark interest from future employers. When done ethically, you make a direct, positive impact on the people you help. At Quest Overseas, we work together with our local project partners to ensure that our teams of international volunteers work efficiently and responsibly. It’s a two-way deal, you learn to work with African or South American local project staff who open your eyes to their distinct cultures, as you share yours with them. We still have spaces left on the following three overseas project teams:
- Villa Maria Project Summer
- The most vulnerable of families in Peru need your help. We are building houses for those struggling in the slum town of Villa Maria, the poorest district of Peru's capital city, Lima. Immerse yourself in Peruvian culture and #bepartofthechange.
- July 11th 2018- August 9th 2018
- Rwanda Summer
- Do something different! Experience the beauty of Rwanda and improve conditions for kids left to the streets of Kigali at the same time. We are anti-orphanage voluntourism, however you can still have a huge impact on the lives of the defenseless. Volunteer ethically.
- July 5th 2018- August 9th 2018
- Bolivia Summer Animal Conservation
- Spend 6 weeks volunteering with Amazonian wildlife. First help with a construction project, typically building a large enclosure for an animal in our care, followed by direct, hands-on experience where you are trained to work with the rescued wildlife
- June 28th 2018- August 9th 2018
