Are you looking for a more impactful study abroad experience?
Spend this summer empowering communities through entrepreneurship in Ecuador or
Guatemala with the Maryland Social Entrepreneur Corps (MSEC). UMD undergraduates
and graduates from all majors earn 9 credits while working alongside local entrepreneurs
and development professionals in Latin America.
In your role as a community consultant, you'll learn about social entrepreneurship, adaptive
leadership, local culture, and empowerment through economic development. Living with a
homestay family, you'll have a chance to learn or improve your Spanish skills and explore
towns and villages off the tourist track.
Applications are due March 15th. Significant scholarship funding available!
Want to learn more? Attend an MSEC information session:
· March 5th: 4:00 - 5:00 pm, 1102 HJ Patterson Hal
· March 13th: 5:00 - 6:00 pm, 1102 HJ Patterson Hall
