The Ed Snider Center for Enterprise and Markets would like to invite you to our new Justice & Markets Interdisciplinary Lecture Series, which will be hosted by Snider faculty member, Christopher Morris. Dr. Morris is also the chair for the Philosophy department on campus.
For our first lecture, we will be hosting Dr. Jason Brennan from Georgetown University, for a public lecture titled, "Capitalism, Marxism, & the Mickey Mouse Club". In the debate between capitalists and socialists, some say that capitalists win at the level of practical politics while socialists win at the level of ideals. Capitalism is a good system for bad people; socialism is a good system for good people. Can the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, a CGI-animated children's show, settle the debate between capitalists and socialists, once and for all? Dr. Brennan is an assistant professor of Strategy, Economics, Ethics and Public Policy.
When: Thursday, February 26th
Where: Stamp Student Union, Charles Carroll Room
Time: 4pm-5pm
*Pizza will be served at a reception directly following the lecture which will include time for questions and to meet the speaker*
Note: Despite the University's delayed opening and inclement weather, this event will take place as planned.
