BSOS students are welcome to walk-in without an appointment Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (last student will be seen at 11:45 a.m.). Students will have 15-minutes or less with a career consultant to discuss résumés, how to research a career field, networking questions, etc. This event is for BSOS majors only. Questions? Get connected with over 2,000 job and internship positions located in Careers4Terps and over 18,000 employer contacts. This Lab will cover all of the ways Careers4Terps enables you to connect with employers already interested in UMD students!
Career outcome: students will set a search alert in C4T that will email them positions of interest, select employers of interest in the Employer Directory and know where to look to keep tabs on their campus involvement, review upcoming on-campus interviews and apply for those of interest, upload their resume to the C4T resume database (depending on student interest) and utilize one C4T resource of interest.
*Note: bring your laptop or tablet to access Careers4Terps. Several computers are also available on a first come first serve basis.

This interactive session will help students learn about different types of interviews (in-person, phone, Skype, group, etc.) and how to effectively handle each one. We will also discuss the power in storytelling and provide an effective formula to help your story stay on track. This session is intended to be fun and provide students with an opportunity to practice!

Join Assistant Director Molly Baker for an information session and dinner to learn about the pre-experience University of Virginia M.S. in Commerce, a one-year business degree designed specifically for liberal arts, science, and engineering majors.
The 40-credit-hour master's degree offers an enterprise-wide view of business, specialty tracks in either Finance, Marketing & Management, or Business Analytics, as well as a month of Global Immersion in Europe, Latin America, East Asia, Southeast Asia, or the Middle East & India. The last three classes posted placement 93% and higher three months after graduation.

MEI is the oldest Middle Eastern-focused think tank in the US, and MEI offers a wide range of positions across all of our departments. These positions include working at the Oman Library, in our Development and Fundraising department, as a Research Assistant to our scholars, and in our Publications Department.
MEI is looking for motivated and intelligent students with an interest in the Middle East, who want substantive work in the think tank/policy community.
