- Participate in meetings with senior level U.S. government or foreign government officials;
- Draft, edit, or contribute to cables, reports, communications, talking points, or other materials used by policy makers in furthering U.S. foreign policy objectives;
- Help organize and support events, including international and/or multi-lateral meetings and conferences on critical global issues;
- Contribute to the management and administration of the Department of State and America’s foreign policy; and
- Engage directly with U.S. or foreign audiences to promote U.S. foreign policy and improve understanding of U.S. culture and society.

Student Intern
US Office of Management and Budget
Position Type: Internship (Fall or Spring Part-Time)
Location: Washington, District of Columbia (United States)
Description:
Position: Student Assistant Positions to start February 2015
to May 2015 (with possible extension into the summer). We are looking for
undergraduate students only.
Duties: Student assistants work with teams of professionals
and other students to support the activities of the Budget Systems Branch (BSB)
and the Budget Formulation and Execution Line of Business (BFELoB).
Depending on skills, interests, and current needs, student
assistants:
- Assist with research and gathering information for projects
- Provide training and technical support to users
- Develop and modify training materials
- Assist with quality assurance, testing, and benchmarking of budget systems software
- Assist with software development projects
- Provide personnel and human resource support
Job Function: Administrative/Support Services
Duration: January 2015 - May 2015

Government Relations Assistant
National Franchisee Association/Coalition of Franchisee Associate
Position Type: Internship (Fall or Spring Part-Time), Off-Campus Part-Time

Location: Washington, District of Columbia (United States)
Description:Government Relations Assistant needed to start in early to
mid-February. Candidate would be working 20 hours/week increasing to 40+
hrs/week in the months of May and June. Hours are flexible to work around class
schedules. Pay is $12/hour. Office is located in downtown Washington, DC.
The "Government Relations Assistant" would help
assist primarily in helping organize large political events. This includes
scheduling hill visits for constituents, drafting legislative biographies and
doing other prep to make the events run smoothly. In "non-event"
months, the assistant would help with day-to-day tasks, including managing
government relations committees of various franchisee associations.
Candidate must be dedicated, hardworking, punctual, and willing
to do entry-level work to gain experience.

Government Affairs/International Development Internship
American Land Title Association
Position Type: Internship (Fall or Spring Part-Time)

Description:
The American Land Title Association (ALTA) is seeking an
intern to assist with international development initiatives related to the
association. This international development intern will work with staff in
Washington, DC, as well as remote ALTA employees, on a variety of projects
including content creation for the ALTA international library on real estate
transactions, assist in developing partnership on international projects with
other trade associations, research, drafting talking points on international
relations, administrative task as assigned and much more.
Responsibilities:
- Assist staff with website management and content updates for the ALTA International Real Estate Transactions Library
- Research current international real estate/land title issues
- Draft and edit talking points on international relations
- Assist with the development of trade association partnerships on international real estate issues
- Prep Political Action Committee (PAC) mailings
- Sort & analyze PAC invitations for events in DC and around the country
- Filing, organization and data entry as needed
- Participate in team meetings and brainstorm sessions
- Assist ALTA staff as necessary
