The final deadline to apply for one of CAPC's internship programs is October 30th! Access the application here.
The Center for American Politics and Citizenship offers several internship programs that give students the opportunity to gain both GVPT and elective credit for their internship experiences.
- The Capital Hill Internship Program enables students who work in a congressional office to receive credit
- The Public Policy Internship Program enables students who work in local, state, national, regional, or global political institutions to receive credit
- Both of these programs require a 3-credit seminar (GVPT388W), for which students will obtain upper-level GVPT credit
- The internship itself can count for 3-6 credits of elective credit, depending on how many hours per week the student spends at the internship
If you would like to take part in either of these programs but do not have 60 credits or are not a GVPT major, please contact Christian Hosam at chosam@umd.edu for more information.
