From University Health Center:
University Health Center Peer Programs are experiential learning opportunities for undergraduate students at the University of Maryland. Peers specialize in different content areas and activities, but all are responsible for educating, serving, and improving the wellness of University of Maryland community members.
All of our programs provide credit for students, and many count towards General Education requirements. Please see our website or the attached flyer for more information and feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions. I was a Health Promotion and Wellness Services (HPWS) Peer Educator for two semesters and stayed on as a Peer Leader for two semesters which totaled 12 credits over the two years. Now I am in a paid student staff position and feel like I have a lot to offer advisors and prospective students considering this program!
Applications close March 2.
