Applications are now open for the summer Simon Wiesenthal Center Government Advocacy Internship Program (GAIP). GAIP aims to train the next generation of Jewish leaders so they can successfully advocate. The program is three-fold.
- Students are placed in elected officials offices (on the state and city level) in order to learn how they work so they know how to establish relationships with them.
- Students participate in weekly seminars with some of the top political minds in the state from all areas including law, communications, lobbying, and philanthropy.
- Based on their interests, they are paired with a mentor who can guide them during the summer by answering questions they have regarding the internship, how to break into the industry, and offer any other advice they can give.
At the end of the summer, students receive a $1,500 stipend.
