Bully Pulpit Interactive (BPI) is seeking an additional summer fellow for our Washington, D.C. headquarters. BPI is the largest marketer in the Democratic Party, with roots in the presidential campaigns of John Kerry, Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama. Interns at BPI have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the constantly evolving world of marketing by working with clients such as high-profile political campaigns, corporations, and non-profits. This particular intern will have the opportunity to work with an exciting mix of clients, including EMILY’s List, the nation's largest resource for women in politics.

Summary
The Democratic Attorneys General Association is seeking a paid Summer Finance Intern to support Democratic Attorneys General and candidates for Attorney General across the country. As the Finance Intern, you will complete administrative and operational tasks for the Finance Team to achieve monthly and annual revenue goals.  You will also work closely with the Finance Manager to assist on finance operations.
The Finance Intern is responsible for several key areas of revenue development, including:
  1. Assist the finance manager with finance operations including:
    • donor prospecting and acknowledgements
    • data entry, management, and clean-up; and
    • transaction processing.
  2. Copy contributions and process deposits.
  3. Assist with call-time for the national finance director, executive director and others as needed.
  4. Solicit contributions where there is an appropriate opportunity.
  5.  Manage donor research for the finance manager and deputy finance directors
  6. Assist with events for DAGA’s membership, donors and prospects
  7. Work closely with other DAGA staff on data entry, data clean-up and transaction processing.
  8. Additional duties as assigned.
 Applicants should be committed to working full time (40 hours a week) during the summer months, and at least 20 hours per week during the fall semester.  This is a paid internship.  The ideal candidate will have above average organizational skills and be interested in political fundraising.  A commitment to electing Democratic Attorneys General is a must.
General Responsibilities
Finance Operations : The Finance Intern will assist the Finance Team in day-to-day operational activities, including: coordinating necessary follow-up to donors and donor acknowledgements, donor list management, and tracking incoming revenue.

Donor Correspondence: The Finance Intern will facilitate communications internally in accordance with donor requests. The Finance Intern will work with the team to ensure effective post meeting/event follow-up to support the cultivation of ongoing relationships.

Donor Research: The Finance Intern will conduct research to build prospect lists at the direction of the finance manager and deputy finance directors. The Finance Intern will also report on donors and donor prospects including individuals, corporations and foundations.

Events Staffing: The Finance Intern will be asked to help with events in the Washington, DC area as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:
-         This is a fast-paced and fast changing work environment.  The ability to organize and handle multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines is required.
  •  Able to interact with individuals at many levels and to handle confidential matters
  • Excellent attention to details
  • Strong research skills required, database (NGP) and computer skills a plus
  • Ability to stay on through Election Day 2018 a plus

The Speaker’s Fellowship Program offers invaluable, firsthand political experience to high school and college students with an interest in government, politics, and community organizing. Participants will work with Democratic campaign staff for Speaker Mike Busch, District 30 Senate candidate Sarah Elfreth, and County Executive candidate Steuart Pittman to learn valuable skills in all aspects of the democratic campaigning process.

Speaker’s Fellows will also gain a comprehensive understanding of the public policy issues affecting their communities.

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to: staffing the office, canvassing, phonebanking, social media monitoring, data entry, photography/videography, etc.

U.S. Student Culture, Economic and Diplomacy Immersion Trip to Poland (June 2018)
Seeking rising college seniors, graduating in 2019 


It is our pleasure to announce that General Electric and the Office of the President of Poland launched a program that offers a unique opportunity of a short summer visit to Poland under the sponsorship of the President of Poland.

We would like to extend an invitation to take a part in this exciting experience that will be a combination of political, economic and cultural exchange as well as sightseeing. It includes visits to leading Polish and multinational firms located in Poland and meetings with Polish government officials and business leaders. The agenda includes also meeting President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, meetings with various government officials, tours in Polish factories, including GE Power, as well as sightseeing fascinating Polish cultural places. Through this experience, we would like to promote and enhance students’ knowledge about Poland by providing ‘on-site” learning experiences.

The program is open to enrolled college undergraduate students that will be graduating in 2019, rising college seniors. The recipients must be US citizens or permanent residents and have a GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 or higher. We are looking for 10 beneficiaries who will arrive in Poland on June 13, 2018 and depart on June 24, 2018. Flight tickets, accommodations and all activities while in Poland will be covered under the partnership with GE and under the sponsorship of the President of Poland. Students are responsible to provide documentation of health insurance coverage and should be expected to secure pocket money for extra spending during their stay in Poland.

Interested students should submit a video response and answer application questions by May 9th, to http://bit.ly/2018GEPoland.  Video response questions have unlimited prep time and 5 minutes to answer the video question of “Please tell us why you should be selected for this international travel program to Poland”. While 5 minutes is available for your video response, please note that you may use as little or as much time necessary to provide a complete answer.
