Penn Hill Group 2022 Fall Internship Program

 Penn Hill Group is excited to share that our application for our 2022 Fall Internship Program is now open. For each of our internship cycles, we often hire interns who participate in a Washington, DC-based program through their university or college. We are reaching out to you to share a little more information about our Spring 2022 internship program. Please note, we continually monitor and address ongoing COVID-19 concerns, but we typically require Fall interns to be located in Washington, D.C. for the duration of their internship. Currently, we have maintained a hybrid work environment for students. We also have a listing on Handshake as well.

 

We encourage students who are interested in education policy and advocacy and those who want to learn about Federal legislation, American politics and different issues in education to apply by June 24. Paid CIA Undergraduate Internship/Co-op Program

Work Schedule:Full Time
Salary:$41,142 - $43,493 ($19.71 - $20.83 per hour)
Location:Washington, DC metropolitan area

Students serving as Information and Data Management (IDM) interns work side-by-side with other IDM officers and mission partners to focus on the management of data, information, and knowledge across all Agency equities. Students gain experience working in business areas covering every aspect of the information lifecycle, including: classification, cataloging, storing, maintaining records and information assets, declassification review, public release, privacy and civil liberties protection, and archiving. IDM work is the backbone of mission-critical information delivery throughout CIA.
Depending on assignment, students serve within one of the core offices within Information Management Services while also participating in a range of activities sponsored by Directorate of Digital Innovation (DDI) Student Programs. Students participate in structured team environments and ensure Agency information is managed appropriately throughout the information life cycle. Duties include providing and applying basic guidance on IDM business policies including, but not limited to: archiving; digitization and categorization; Executive Order-mandated classification, declassification, and marking; foreign disclosure; Freedom of Information Act; Privacy Act; records management; and review and release. Students have the opportunity to apply information and data management skills to catalogue, index, search, and retrieve Agency information and demonstrate analytic, diagnostic, and qualitative skills needed to identify, evaluate, and recommend information and data management solutions and strategic plans.

Interns generally are required to work either a combination of one semester and one summer internship or two summer internships. Co-op students work on an alternating semester or quarterly basis and are expected to spend a minimum of three semesters or four quarters (this can include a summer tour) on the job prior to graduation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Founded in 2002, SEGURA is an international consulting firm specializing in advisory services to public and private sector clients in emerging markets around the globe. We focus on three key service areas: (1) public sector and state enterprise restructuring and institutional modernization; (2) private sector development and reform; and (3) project development and implementation.

Job Summary: Through your internship, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, build your network, and acquire hands-on knowledge while primarily supporting SEGURA’s recruiting, new business development, and communications initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
·         Support new business development by identifying and recruiting candidates for assignments worldwide for existing projects and new business opportunities

Facebook is seeking highly organized, motivated, and detail‐oriented undergraduate and graduate students to join our Public Policy team in Washington, DC as full-time contracted externs. The Facebook DC office helps to inform users, the media, partners, employees and other stakeholders about Facebook's products and business. Working with policymakers at the international, federal, and state levels, the team handles legislative and regulatory matters, participates in domestic and international policy discussions and leads the company’s interactions with consumer and other non-governmental organizations. Alongside Facebook team members responsible for public policy and strategic communications, externs will work on a variety of projects and policy issues with relevance in the US and around the world, ranging from legislative monitoring and policy analysis to content development. Note: This is a full-time, contract position for the Fall term.

Description:
The special awards and outreach intern will assist in AFSA's special awards and outreach department. With the coordinator for special awards and outreach, the intern will assist with the solicitation of nominations for AFSA's various awards; participate in the selection process; help plan the annual awards ceremony; play a role in the selection process for and unveiling of the AFSA memorial plaque at our annual May ceremony; and work on the national high school essay contest. The intern will meet and work with the staff of the Secretary of State and have other opportunities of high-level interactions. They will help out with coverage of AFSA events and occasionally write articles for AFSA News - with byline.

During their time at AFSA, interns will have unique opportunities to talk with Foreign Service employees, learn about the Foreign Service and gain insights into the workings of the State Department and other foreign affairs agencies. Arrangements will be made for at least one visit to a State Department press briefing, and we strive to identify opportunities for high-level interaction for our interns.

This internship is offered from (January to May). Interns are expected to work at least two full days a week (equivalent of 16 hours), for which they receive a $500 stipend. We are happy to coordinate with the appropriate college office for the conferral of academic credit for the internship. Please note that all interns are responsible for arranging their own housing and covering their own expenses.

Qualifications:
