Minority Serving Institutions Conference
The annual MSI (Minority Serving Institutions) Conference provides the opportunity for students to engage in a conference where they will gain insight into the numerous employment opportunities, internships, fellowships, and overall experiences in the Civil Services and Foreign Services.
The annual MSI (Minority Serving Institutions) Conference is next Friday, April 12th from 12:00-6:00 pm. The conference will be hybrid and is free to attend. Here is the registration form. Secretary Anthony Blinken will attend and speak in person and Hermes Grullon, Foreign Service Orientation Deputy Course Coordinator, Foreign Service Institute, will also speak.

SiriusXM Townhall with Secretary Buttigieg April 9th
On Tuesday April 9th at 3:15 PM, Julie Mason, from the Julie Mason Show, heard weekdays 3-6 PM EAST on SiriusXM’s non-partisan POTUS Channel, hosts Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg in a SiriusXM Townhall on the progress of the rollout of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, the future of transportation in the U.S. and what this means for young people, the impact of AI on transportation, importance of diversity and equity in transportation decisions, President Biden’s proposed increase in fuel taxes for private jets and more.
Julie will host Secretary Buttigieg in a 20 minute one on one conversation in front of a live, studio audience of students. The last 30 minutes of the event will be opened up to Q and A from the in-studio audience.
Students are welcome to participate in the townhall and potentially ask a question to Secretary Buttigieg. Audience participants should arrive at Sirius XM studios, 1500 Eckington PL, NE, DC 20002, by 2:45 PM.

"A Conversation with Dr. Fiona Hill: Ukraine, Russia, and U.S. Public Opinion," will be conducted virtually on Wednesday, October 11 from 2-3pm EDT.
Dr. Fiona Hill is the Chancellor of Durham University in the U.K. and Senior Fellow in the Center on the United States and Europe within the Foreign Policy program at Brookings. She is also the Richard von Weizsäcker Fellow at the Robert Bosch Academy in Berlin. She was previously Deputy Assistant to the President and Senior Director for European and Russian Affairs on the U.S. National Security Council from 2017-2019 and a National Intelligence Officer for Russia and Eurasia at the National Intelligence Council from 2006-2009. One of the most preeminent experts on Russia and Ukraine, Dr. Hill is a prolific author of multiple books and articles, including Mr. Putin: Operative in the Kremlin (with Clifford G. Gaddy), and her latest memoir, There Is Nothing For You Here: Finding Opportunity In The 21st Century.
Introducing Dr. Fiona Hill will be Dr. Jennifer King Rice, Senior Vice President and Provost of the University of Maryland. This forum will address where things stand regarding the Russian invasion of Ukraine and its implications for the U.S. and the international community.
