Congressman Jamie Raskin's District Office Congressional Internship Program

In our District Office, students can learn about how we work directly with constituents to help them navigate federal agencies and resources. Students are exposed to how federal level policies play out in our local community in regards to immigration, education, healthcare, veteran issues, housing, and more. District Office internships center on community outreach and engagement. Interns may be asked to attend community events, draft correspondence, and assist with communications.  In addition, interns may be assigned to assist in research or work on District-based projects of importance.

Internships run throughout the fall, spring, and summer semesters for college students. High school students, who live in District 08, are also welcome to apply for internships in the fall or spring semesters. Although internships in our offices are unpaid, students gain invaluable work experience and are encouraged to seek academic credit.

Applications for the fall 2017 internship will be reviewed on a rolling basis until September 15, 2017. For more information about Congressman Raskin’s Internship Program, contact Martha Sanchez at Martha.Sanchez2@mail.house.gov or 301-354-1000.
