Event Date and Time

Location
1101 Morrill Hall, 7313 Preinkert Dr., College Park, MD 20742
The Minor in International Development and Conflict Management (MIDCM) invites you to the career panel “Diversity in International Development”, which will bring together a variety of individuals to share their experience of working in the field international development. While the field of international development is no exception to the diversity failures in other fields in the public and private sectors, awareness and discussion of diversity in international development increased greatly in 2018 in light of the #AidToo campaign. MIDCM is looking to further the conversation at the University by providing students an opportunity to learn more about what its like to work in the sector from various perspectives to which they might not easily be exposed otherwise. A panel of professionals in international development, including MIDCM alumni, will discuss their own career paths and experiences in the field.
Panelists will include:
  • Caddi Golia '12, John Snow Inc., Research and Training Institute
  • Sydney Perlotto '15, Communications and Social Media Coordinator, Population Reference Bureau
  • Darya Safai '13 (GVPT), Contract Specialist, DARPA
