Transparency International (TI) is the largest global coalition dedicated to countering corruption, with national chapters in more than 100 countries. Transparency International U.S. (TI-US), based in Washington, D.C., focuses on policy development, research and advocacy to stop corrupt officials from laundering money through the U.S. financial system, strengthen our democratic institutions and practices, and continue to encourage the U.S. government to be a leader in global anti-corruption initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
TI-US is seeking a motivated intern to assist the Program and Research Associate with the day-to-day logistics of the office. This includes outreach to allied organizations and other key constituencies, assisting with meetings, drafting content for social media and other tasks as needed. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Program and Research Associate with office logistics and scheduling lobbying and coalition meetings;
- Sharing reports, statements, press releases with stakeholders;
- Creating communications content for social media and helping to maintain various social media channels;
- Tracking relevant pieces of legislation for the organization’s advocacy program.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong writing skills, graphic design skills are a plus;
- Strong organizational and logistical skills;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
- A strong commitment to Transparency International’s mission.
