Global Leadership Coalition Internship

The U.S. Global Leadership Coalition is a broad-based, bi-partisan, influential network of 500 businesses and NGOs; national security and foreign policy experts; and business, faith-based, academic, military, and community leaders in all 50 states who support strategic investments to elevate development and diplomacy alongside defense in order to build a better, safer world. We are supported by a National Advisory Council that includes former Secretaries of State and Defense, as well as a National Security Advisory Council consisting of over 200 retired four and three-star generals and flag officers from all branches of the military. The USGLC works in our nation’s capital and across the country to strengthen America’s civilian-led tools — development and diplomacy — alongside defense. By advocating for a strong International Affairs Budget, the USGLC is working to make America’s international affairs programs a keystone of U.S. foreign policy.

About the Outreach dept:

The Outreach department at the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition is responsible for enhancing support for the International Affairs Budget on a nationwide level. From faith-based leaders and retired military personnel to business executives and humanitarian organizations, the National Outreach team strives to maintain a comprehensive Advisory Committee comprised of the aforementioned authorities in each state. What began during our Impact ’08 Campaign — a nationwide effort to raise awareness of the IAB in regards to the 2008 presidential candidates’ policies — as a state-to-state networking database evolved into our mission to have USGLC supporters and vocal IAB advocates in every state. Though our Advisory Committees are more developed in states such as Ohio, South Carolina, Florida, Pennsylvania, and New Hampshire, it is equally as important to maintain these relationships as it is to deepen the presence of the USGLC in other states.
