Planet Aid Fall 2012 Internships

Planet Aid in Elkridge is recruiting interns for International Partnership Development

Planet Aid is nonprofit organization that collects donated clothing and shoes to protect the environment and support sustainable development in impoverished communities around the world. The clothing collected by Planet Aid is processed, bundled and then sold to exporters, who make clothes available at low costs to lesser-developed regions of the world. The funds Planet Aid generates through the sale of donated clothing are used to help support international aid and development projects in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas. You may recognize our yellow bins.

Located in Elkridge, Maryland, Planet Aid is the USA non-profit representative of Federation Humana People to People, that implements development contracts from USAID, USDA among others, for teacher training, AIDS prevention, farmers clubs and other programs in Africa, China, India and Latin America.  Since 1997, Planet Aid has supported more than 60 projects in 15 countries with more $79 million.  Our Corporate Partners include Johnson & Johnson, DELL, Nokia and Kraft Foods among others.
