Plans for the State of the Union?

What do you have planned for the State of the Union today? Opportunity Nation will be co-leading a panel with USSA on education policy as part of a larger day of discussions the League of Young Voters is having called #BarackTalk

Watch the panel live from 5-6 pm EST on Tuesday and hear from Opportunity Nation's own Russell Krumnow and Marvin Mathew (Opportunity Scholar, MD).

In addition to our panel, there will be amazing line-up of speakers throughout the day - from hip-hop artists to leaders in the movement to respected journalists. Come and chat with other leading organizations such as Sierra Student Coalition, Campaign For Youth Justice, Energy Action Coalition, United States Student Association, Rock the Vote, Voto Latino, Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and many more.

The entire event will be live streamed for the largest interactive State of the Union watch party in the country on Tuesday. More than 33,000 young people participated in 2012, and this year's going to be even bigger! There's plenty of work to do and we need to make sure your voice is heard loud and clear. Hope you all can check it out!
