Open to talented students from all majors! The program combines a fall seminar taught by practitioners in the field with a spring internship in the Washington, D.C. area. The 2 fall seminars: Foreign Policy and Security in the Developing World (instructors from Congressional Research Service); Science Diplomacy: Foreign Policy and Science, Technology, and Innovation (instructors from Bureau of Oceans, Environment, and Science, U.S. Department of State).  This new learning program includes workshops, trips to D.C., visits with policy makers, one-on-one mentoring, etc.!  
 
 For best consideration, apply by May 1!  Global Semester in Washington, D.C. is the sister program to Federal Semester (also still accepting applications: www.federalsemester.umd.edu )  Home for both: 2407 Marie Mount Hall. Director, Dr. Joan Burton.
