Office of State Senator Chris Shank-Internship

Our office, in Annapolis Maryland, has an opportunity for an internship on Wednesdays and Fridays during the legislative session (January 8, 2014 – April 7, 2014).  Senator Shank is from Washington County and sits on the Judicial Proceedings Committee which hears issues in the following areas:

·         Criminal and civil laws, penalties, and procedures ·         Correctional facilities and services ·         Family law ·         Judicial administration and court structure ·         Juvenile justice ·         Law enforcement organizations ·         Legal profession ·         Legal rights and immunities

·         Public safety ·         Real property, including landlord-tenant laws ·         Trusts and estates ·         Corporations and associations ·         Constitutional amendments ·         Human relations ·         Vehicle laws, including drunk driving

The internship would include tracking and researching legislation, attending committee hearing, completing briefings, office tasks and other tasks as needed.If interested, please contact:
