Fellowships for Brian Woolfolk for Senate

A top tier Maryland State Senate Candidate is seeking a group of dedicated fellows to play a key role in his 2014 bid for State Senate. Fellows will be responsible for producing a high level of work and will develop professional skills as they lead projects in voter engagement, coalition building, political outreach, and voter turnout.


Research Fellowship

Responsibilities 

-Conduct legislative and candidate research 
-Help draft policy proposals to be rolled out throughout the campaign 
-Other projects assigned by campaign staff 

Qualifications 
-Strong interpersonal and written communication skills 
-The willingness to learn 
-A good sense of humor 
- Ability to work with a variety of people 
- Excels when working in a high stress environment 
- Can manage and prioritize a large work load 
- Determined to win! 
- Previous campaign experience is preferred but not required

Fundraising Fellowship


Responsibilities 
Campaign Field Fellowship

-Helping coordinate and execute call time 
-Staffing fundraising events 
-Assisting with direct mail and email fundraising solicitations 
-Database management 
-Helping coordinate completion of campaign finance reports 
-Other projects assigned by the Fundraising Director

Qualifications 
-Previous campaign experience preferred but not required 
-Strong interpersonal and written communication skills 
-The willingness to learn 
-A good sense of humor 
-Enjoys working in a high stress environment 
-High standards of ethics and compliance

Campaign data and Analytic Fellowship

Responsibilities
- Enter and manipulate voter data
- Ensure all data is accurate
- Help create survey questions, activist codes, scripts and tags within the database
- Interprets data for high level reports and presentations
- Create and pull lists for phone banking and canvassing events
- Cut turf for canvass packets

Qualifications
- Knowledge of Votebuilder a plus
- Being creative, innovative, possessing a strong analytical ability
- A good sense of humor
- Ability to work with a variety of people
- Excels when working in a high stress environment
- Can manage and prioritize a large work load
- Determined to win!
- Previous campaign experience is preferred but not required

Communications Fellowship

Responsibilities
-Drafting press releases
-Helping develop content for Facebook, Twitter and other social media accounts
-Attending campaign events to record video and take pictures
-Compiling daily press clips
-Drafting talking points
-Other projects assigned by the Communications Director

Qualifications
-Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
-Working knowledge of graphic design software is a plus-
-The willingness to learn
-A good sense of humor
- Ability to work with a variety of people
- Excels when working in a high stress environment
- Can manage and prioritize a large work load
- Determined to win!
- Previous campaign experience is preferred but not required
