Senator Coons' Fall 2020 Internship Session

Senator Chris Coons (D-DE) has an exciting opportunity for engaging and savvy college students to join our Washington, D.C. team for the Fall 2020 internship session. The fall internship session will run from Tuesday, September 8^th to Friday, December 11^th and we give preference to applicants who are available at least 3 days a week from 9am-5pm

Responsibilities include answering phones, greeting visitors, sorting mail, and assisting front office and legislative staff with research and drafting documents. Internship positions can be full or part time, however, part time applicants must commit to at least 20 hours a week. This position requires outstanding organizational abilities, strong communication skills, attention to detail, poise, and flexibility. Motivated, hard-working, and professional applicants are encouraged to apply.  

The application will include a cover letter, resume, professional references, and a short writing sample. The office also offers paid internship opportunities to those who otherwise could not afford to participate in a full-time unpaid internship. Those interested in applying will also need to submit a stipend essay with their application.
