Death Penalty Information Center Data Fellowship

The Death Penalty Information Center in Washington, DC is a national non-profit organization serving the media and the public with analysis and information on issues concerning capital punishment.

We are currently seeking candidates for a year-long Data Fellowship running from September 2022 to September 2023. The Data Fellow is the point person for managing DPIC’s data on death sentences and other aspects of capital punishment, and plays a key role in creating DPIC’s data visualizations. It would be a great entry-level position for someone who is interested in the criminal legal system and who is intrigued by the role data can play in analysis and reform.

We believe that an exceptional Data Fellow could come from a wide variety of disciplines and backgrounds, including social science, journalism, criminal justice, data science, public policy, or statistics.

More information about the position and its application process can be found here. Applications are due by June 8, 2022.
