Deadline extended for Spring 2024 GVPT Research Assistant Program Applications

Do you have an interest in political science research and doing research with a GVPT faculty? If so, we invite you to apply to our Undergraduate Research Assistant (URA) Program!

The URA program allows students to develop their own independent research project that culminates with a research symposium at the end of the semester. Students are paired with a GVPT faculty mentor; RAs will assist the faculty mentor's research project and the faculty mentor helps guide the RA's research design and analysis process.

You will also earn 3 upper-level (experiential learning) credits (GVPT388), which can count towards your GVPT major requirements.

Some recent RA research topics includes:

The Constitutional Revolution of 1937

Foreign vs. Domestic Investments on Coal-Fired Power Plants: The Citizens’ Perspective

Religions and Regimes: Measuring the Effect of Religion on Government Regime Types
