Ag Discovery 2013 Mentors

Ag Discovery is a 3 week program in July designed to promote the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources to high school students from all over the country.  Participants receive a unique college experience by rooming on campus, taking a course and traveling to different sites in and around Maryland!

As an Ag Discovery mentor, you will room with the participants in the dorm, accompany them on field trips, and promote the University of Maryland.  Past activities include Capitol Hill tour, DuPont facilities tour, National Zoo, Smithsonian Natural History Museum, Brookside Gardens, Patuxent Wildlife Refuge and USDA lab experiments.   The position provides free room and board as well as a stipend pay.

Students who are interested in making connections, promoting the University and are able to work with kids (ages 14-17) are encouraged to apply. All majors are welcome

When: July 7th – 26th
